Dhandapani Shanmugam, also known as Dhandu, is a recognized tech leader with a unique blend of business and technical acumen. He is currently working as the Lead Solution Engineer for Google Cloud Platform at Google, where he is leading the digital transformation for many large-scale digital natives serving millions of DAUs/MAUs. With over 23 years of IT experience, Dhandu is a seasoned engineering leader who has designed, developed, and delivered end-to-end large-scale software products. Dhandu is an inventor with many high-value granted patents and publications in the areas of AI, Cloud, Mobility, IoT, and HMI/HCI. He has been awarded as a lifetime IBM Master Inventor and owns 100+ patents and publications. Dhandu has also been the owner of many FOAKs, including IBM's choice of his distinguished invention "Meuron-The Sixth Sense" as its theme for 5in5. This was the very first in the history of IBM India. Apart from being an inventor, Dhandu is also an experienced incubator who transforms real-world problems into intelligent software solutions and products. He has started many incubators such as "sLife" - Say Yes to Life, "iProTalk" - Intelligent Products Talk, which started as mere one-line scribbles. Dhandu is vastly experienced in Cloud, Big Data, IoT, and Mobility technologies. He is a consistent learner, student, and performer who has won many outstanding awards since his school days. Dhandu holds a Master's Degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and an Engineer's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SREC, Anna University, Coimbatore.
